Our ‘Writing Kingdom Stories’ Writer’s retreat will run from

 Thurs 15th to Sunday 18th June 2023.

Nobody can deny the power of a good story. Whether that story is from real life, or from a writer’s imagination, stories can move us, and make us think and feel deeply. Stories also stay with us in our imagination. Because they are so powerful, stories are a great way of sharing our faith, and sharing the reality of Kingdom living. Truths can be wrapped up in fiction in such a way that they speak deeply and memorably into our hearts. Truths can be shared plainly in non-fiction storytelling, in ways that explore real kingdom living through the power of testimony.

Do you want to write stories that count for eternity? Do you want to make the reality of Jesus, and living in the power of Holy Spirit, accessible through your storytelling? Then why not join three writers who have proved they can do just that, and come away to learn from their experiences?

Joy Margetts, who writes hope-filled redemptive stories, full of biblical truth, but fictionally set in medieval Wales. www.joymargetts.org

Joy Vee, who writes fiction for children, stories that naturally explore how to live supernaturally. www.joyvee.org

Joanna Watson, who writes real life miracle stories and reflections, that build faith and hope in a supernatural God. www.joannawatson.co.uk

The retreat is open to all, whether you are new to writing, or an accomplished multi award winning author! Just bring an open heart and something to write on, and we are sure you will find yourself inspired and encouraged.

The setting we have chosen is one we believe will help you to relax, refresh and refocus. The stunning Lleyn Peninsula has sea, sky and mountains, as well as a rich and ancient spiritual heritage. Set not far from the North Wales Pilgrim Route, and within walking distance of the sea, Tyn y Nant is a Christian Centre, set in acres of it’s own grounds, with many places to sit, rest, write or just enjoy the scenery. The accommodation is basic but comfortable, and the facilities more than adequate. The bedrooms all have ensuite facilities and although some have room for multiple occupancy, no-one will be forced to share. There are also facilities for less abled visitors. Surrounding the centre are walks, beaches, and historic sites to visit. www.tynynant.co.uk

We aim to make time to worship, and learn together, and of course lots of free time to think and write. There will be scheduled workshops and sessions led by the hosting authors, but we will also seek to be led by the Holy Spirit as to how we fill the programme.

All meals will be provided and options made available for those with specific dietary needs.
